H2M names Rich Humann President and CEO

The Board of Directors of H2M, a leading architectural, engineering, planning and environmental service firm, headquartered in Melville, New York, announced that Rich Humann has been named Chairman, CEO and President. He was previously the firm’s COO. Humann’s promotion coincides with the retirement of John Molloy, who served as Chairman, CEO and President of H2M since 1996.

“The Board is exceedingly confident in Rich’s ability to lead H2M as the firm enters a new chapter of its corporate life with the retirement of John Molloy,” said Gary Loesch, newly promoted COO of H2M.

As part of his new appointment, Humann named the rest of his executive team as follows: Gary Loesch, Chief Operating Officer; Greg Smith, Chief Financial Officer; Bob Scheiner, Chief Marketing Officer; Dennis Kelleher, President of H2M Water; and Liz Uzzo, Vice President of Human Resources. Humann plans to work closely with his executive team to further the overall growth and success of the firm.

Humann, a resident of Nesconset, began his career with H2M as a college intern. In January of 2012, he was named President/COO of the firm and played a leading role in developing and advancing the refocusing H2M’s business model, which launched in 2011. Humann also successfully led the multi-year development and implementation of the firm’s market-based business approach and was charged with implementing the firm’s strategic plan and managing the architecture, engineering, and environmental services business lines of the company.

“I’m very optimistic about 2013. With the support of an outstanding executive management team, we are poised for success and prepared to meet the challenges of the new year head on,” said Humann. ”We have an exceptional group of clients and a very experienced and dedicated staff–it’s the perfect blueprint for success for our clients and for H2M.”
