Firehouses Town of Islip Firefighters Museum

The Town of Islip Firefighters Museum is currently in preliminary design, and will be sited in Central Islip, New York, adjacent to the Long Island Ducks Stadium. This 20,000 square feet building will have exhibition space, educational classrooms and an area to demonstrate the restoration of antique fire apparatus. The building will represent the 18 fire departments located within the Town of Islip. The building is scheduled to begin construction in 2009.
