Safe Streets to Schools Improvement Project: This project included the installation of solar powered speed limit warning signs at three school locations within the Borough of Prospect Park, New Jersey. Also included was the replacement of concrete curbing, concrete sidewalk, concrete handicap ramps, pedestrian crosswalks, and striping and signage within the project limits. In addition the project included the installation of new detectable warning surfaces at all handicap ramp locations in accordance with the ADA Standards for Accessible Design. The entire project was designed in accordance with NJDOT's 2001 Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction.
