Redevelopment City of Garfield, South Garfield
H2M prepared the South Garfield Redevelopment Plan, which provides an opportunity for the City of Garfield to redevelop a 25-acre underutilized industrial tract. The plan provides the impetus to create a pedestrian-oriented center that allows new uses to revitalize the Passaic Street business district. The Plan included a market analysis to examine the retail potential for the redevelopment area. The Plan also included design standards developed to ensure that new development is human scale and architecturally attractive. Finally, conceptual 3D simulation images were provided to generate consensus between the various stakeholders.
