West Hempstead Water District: Due to the age and failing condition of the existing 300,000-gallon elevated water storage tank water district replaced the existing tank with a new 600,000 elevated water spheroid. The new storage tank is located in close proximity to single family residences in a heavily populated neighborhood. The project was completed with little to no impact on the community and provides an additional 300,000 gallons of fire fighting capacity.
