H2M architects + engineers acquires David L. Mammina, Architect

H2M is pleased to announce the acquisition of David L. Mammina, Architect, an architecture firm based in Carle Place, NY. The acquisition was finalized on September 27, 2013. David Mammina and his staff will be joining H2M as the firm moves into its new office in Melville, NY.

Mammina’s firm started out 27 years ago doing architectural work for Staples and working for the LeFrak Organization on commercial and residential projects. As the firm grew, Mammina became a leader in architecture for the healthcare industry, specializing in the design of nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

“I’m very excited about the opportunity to expand in the assisting living market. Combining our designers with H2M’s full service architecture and engineering will make a winning combination for our healthcare clients,” said Mammina of the acquisition.

In addition to jump-starting H2M’s entry into healthcare facility design, Mammina’s firm has long-standing relationships with many other public and private entities throughout the New York metropolitan area that will strengthen H2M’s position as a leader in architectural and building design.

“We see the integration of David’s firm as a positive step for both companies, as the acquisition is part of our overall growth strategy. We’ve long respected David and his company, working side-by-side on a number of projects. This is a perfect match for both of us,” said Richard Humann, H2M’s President and CEO.
