H2M’s Melville and Parsippany locations raise money to battle breast cancer

On Sunday, Oct. 19, both our Melville and Parsippany offices participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks.

Each office set up their own team page for their respective events, where they were able to receive donations. Altogether, the two teams raised over $700, which will go toward the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer research.

The walks, which took place at the Mack-Cali Business Campus in Parsippany, and at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, are considered “a celebration of survivorship, an occasion to express hope, and our shared determination to make this breast cancer’s last century.”

An event organized by the American Cancer Society, the two walks were part of nearly 300 similar walks that occur each year. Since 1993, more than 9 million people across the country have taken part, raising $528 million to help fight breast cancer. In 2013 alone, 1 million people raised more than $68 million for breast cancer research.
