H2M architects + engineers relocates to new, expanded headquarters

H2M architects + engineers is pleased to announce its relocation to a new, expanded headquarters, just one mile north of the firm’s previous location on Broad Hollow Road in Melville. After 26 years in its prior space, the firm made the move to 538 Broad Hollow Road on September 30.

The new office unites the firm’s 190 Long Island employees under one roof; previously, staff was divided between two Melville locations. At 40,000 square feet, H2M’s new office space is 16,000 square feet larger than its prior headquarters. The space was built out entirely from scratch, and the firm incorporated a number of sustainable features into its design. In addition to low- and zero-VOC carpeting and finishes, the space boasts high-efficiency lighting and mechanical systems, and furniture is composed of 84% recycled materials.

“It was important for us to make our new space both functional and green. Our open design maximizes daylight to interior spaces, so every desk benefits from natural light,” said Robert Scheiner, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “It’s a vibrant space, and we’re excited to set down new roots in our long-time home here on Long Island.”

“Our new headquarters was designed specifically to meet our current and future needs,” said Rich Humann, H2M’s President and CEO. “We’re looking forward to growing into our new space and better serving our clients.”
