The employees of local consulting and design firm H2M proudly announce their award of $1,000 donations to three local and national charities: Mercy Center Ministries, Chordoma Foundation, and Wounded Warrior Project. The funds were raised as part of an annual tradition at H2M’s employee holiday celebration, where the staff organizes a raffle to benefit three charities of their choosing.
“Each year, the employees of H2M raise money to support the charities that have had a significant impact on our lives and those of our families, friends, and loved ones,” said Kristen Lavelle, Public Relations Coordinator. “We’re delighted to lend a helping hand to these three outstanding organizations at a time when they need it most.”
Long Island-based Mercy Center Ministries dedicates itself to making the world a better place for young women in need, operating three independent living programs for homeless teens. All programs are designed to teach young women the skills necessary to become responsible adults, responsible parents, and productive members of their community.
The Chordoma Foundation is a nonprofit organization working to improve the lives of patients affected by chordoma, a rare and difficult to treat bone cancer affecting the head and spine. The foundation works to accelerate research to develop effective treatments for chordoma and helps patients get the best care possible.
The Wounded Warrior Project provides unique, direct programs and services to severely injured service members during the time between active duty and their transition to civilian life. The organization seeks to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members and “to honor and empower wounded warriors.”
