H2M employees raise $750 for United Way of Long Island

The Long Island Insurance Community, together with United Way of Long Island, recently put together a mission called Operation LIVE UNITED to support local military veterans and their families. H2M employees participated in the event by purchasing and wearing a LIVE UNITED t-shirt to work on November 22.

The staff’s contributions totaled $750, which will be used in support of United Way’s Military Family Assistance Project. In partnership with local agencies, this project provides military personnel who have served in Iraq or Afghanistan with emergency financial aid, counseling/case management help, and job training/employment assistance. Partner agencies include United Veterans Beacon House, Hope for the Warriors, Family Service League of Suffolk, Mental Health Association of Nassau and Clubhouse of Suffolk/SC United Veterans.
