H2M promotes Paul Granger, P.E. and James Neri, P.E.

H2M architects + engineers is pleased to announce the promotions of Paul Granger, P.E., and James Neri, P.E., who will be taking on additional responsibilities to help support the firm’s Water Resources division and its growing client base.

Granger, a Vice President in the Water Resources group, has been promoted to Deputy Water Market Leader. He is tasked with assisting with the firm’s growth throughout the tri-state area, with a particular emphasis on the upstate New York market.

With over 25 years of water supply expertise, Granger joined H2M as a staff engineer in 1988 and worked his way up to project manager. He stayed with H2M until 1996, when his work brought him to the Plainview Water District as the Superintendent of Engineering and Business. Granger rejoined the H2M team in 2007 as the Department Manager of Water Resources Planning and Development.

In his day-to-day work at H2M, Granger is responsible for client management and business development, management of master planning, and water treatment studies and design. He conducts research for new water treatment technologies for the firm’s many municipal water supply clients.

A graduate of Polytechnic University and a resident of Levittown, Granger is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York and a Grade IB New York State Certified Water Plant Operator.

He is a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Long Island Water Conference. As an active member of the NYSAWWA, he presently serves on the Board of Trustees and previously served as chair of the organization.

James Neri, also a Vice President for Water Resources, has been promoted to Deputy Division Director, managing the professional staff of H2M Water and overseeing the engineering services they provide.

With 15 years of experience as an environmental engineer specializing in water resources/supply, treatment and groundwater modeling, Neri has been with H2M since 2001. As manager of the water group’s quality control program, Neri oversees all design work prepared by the department. Additionally, he serves as client liaison and program manager for the 30 public water suppliers we serve in the tri-state region.

A graduate of Cornell University and a resident of Huntington, Neri is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York and a Certified Protective Coatings Professional, SSPC. He is a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Long Island Water Conference
