Olivia Tsonas, R.A., A.I.A., has been selected as secretary of the AIA Long Island Chapter’s new committee, Women in Architecture.
This newly established committee, which Oliva is a founding member of, focuses on celebrating and encouraging the success and leadership roles of women in architecture throughout the Long Island region.
As secretary, Tsonas handles the social media for the committee and works with the other officers to have a presence at college fairs, local events, and meet and greets in order to network and spread awareness of the committee.
Excited to be a part of this new adventure, Tsonas plans on keeping H2M in the loop with events and happenings as the committee grows.
