City of Poughkeepsie – New Public Safety Facility

The City of Poughkeepsie needed a new public safety facility to accommodate multiple fire and police functions, in one facility on a challenging urban site. The new facility also needed to accommodate the headquarters and future expansion for the Department’s needs. Pacheco Ross Architects (PRA), a division of H2M, developed separate police and fire programs to define operations, response, and public/private interactions by creating areas within the building and on the site to accommodate multiple uses. The project won a Bronze Station Style Award.
