H2M staff designed renovations and upgrades to the existing main kitchen facility alongside a brand-new employee cafeteria at the Nassau University Medical Center.
The team worked very closely with the administration, kitchen manager, and facilities personnel during the planning process in putting together a comprehensive work plan that would minimize down-time within the kitchen.
The renovated space includes areas for hot and cold food production, meal tray assembly, and dishwashing, as well as office space for the Food and Nutrition Department, refrigerator and freezer space to support the preparation of nearly 1,500 meals per day, and upgraded space and equipment to meet all fire and building code requirements.
