H2M, in conjunction with select subconsultants, provides a full spectrum of engineering, energy, and consulting services for PSE&G under the Engineered Solutions and EE17 programs, as part of PSE&G’s Clean Energy Future Program servicing the MUSH market sector.

Components of the MUSH market sector include multifamily, higher education, hospitals, government, and non-profit facilities, all of which provide substantial contributions to New Jersey’s economy through employment and purchasing. H2M performs Level 3 energy audits, engineering design, construction administration, management, auditing, commissioning, and measurement and verification for PSE&G as part of these two programs.

H2M has assisted PSE&G with identifying potential program participants and performed Level 3 audits at selected facilities to identify potential energy conservation measures. H2M also develops calculations following New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) and PSE&G protocols, which PSE&G then reviews and utilizes to prepare project packages that meet each program’s specific payback and cost-benefit analysis requirements.

H2M then prepares engineering bid/construction plans and specifications, address the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and local subcode official review comments, administer each project’s bid process, and make recommendations for awards. Measurement and verification monitoring points and data collection requirements are built into each project’s respective design plans with associated metering equipment installed during construction. Throughout the construction phase, H2M hosts progress meetings; reviews contractor shop drawing submittals, Requests for Information, change order requests, project invoicing, closeout documentation; and works with the facilities and contractors to oversee timely completion of each respective project.

Upon completion of the work, H2M then commissions the respective systems and equipment to ensure operation in accordance with the project plans and manufacturer specifications. H2M also provides measurement and verification services, checking upgraded system energy consumption and performance against the projected savings for a typical period of one year.
