Moisture Mapping Services
Moisture mapping provides visual representation of the moisture content of building and finishing materials within a property. Following a water loss, moisture impact is not always visible which is why moisture mapping is a valuable tool in properly mitigating a loss. By knowing the exact location of water damaged and wet materials – mitigation experts can target all affected areas of the property. Undiscovered standing moisture can lead to the development of microbial growth that can cause health impacts to those exposed to it. H2M utilizes various technologies to perform moisture mapping services to ensure that all wet impacted building and finishing materials are identified within the affected areas of the property.
Moisture mapping combined with H2M’s expertise in water mitigation and remediation consulting helps to ensure mitigation efforts encompass the full scope of what is relevant to your claim and helps to protect the integrity of the property. Accompanied with the moisture map, H2M can provide a scope of work for damages observed.
While onsite, H2M’s inspectors are able to inspect for secondary sources of moisture/preexisting damages within the affected locations. If secondary sources of moisture/pre-existing damages are observed at the time of H2M’s inspection, H2M can separate the recommended scope of work into damages related to the reported loss and pre-existing damages.
Identification of secondary sources of moisture/pre-existing damages during the moisture mapping process helps ensure the scope of work recommended is fair and reasonable for the reported loss.
