H2M’s Jason Cooper Honored as Innovator in CRE

H2M Environmental Department Manager Jason Cooper, P.G., was recently featured in the New York Real Estate Journal “Innovators in Commercial Real Estate” spotlight!

Every year, the magazine spotlights the professionals who bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and positive impacts to New York State’s commercial real estate industry. Jason, a licensed Professional Geologist, has over 25 years of experience in environmental services, including remediation projects for the New York City Brownfield Cleanup Program, New York City E-Designation Program, and New York State Chemical and Petroleum Spills Program.

In his spotlight, Jason discusses trends in the real estate industry, such as New York State’s affordable housing initiative and climate goals, and their impact on how stakeholders approach redevelopment opportunities.

“Abating environmental hazards and assisting developers in creating sustainable communities with a lower carbon footprint has created new niches for environmental professionals,” Jason said. “Particularly those with the regulatory knowledge to help developers meet specific state requirements.”
