Co-Op Program
H2M architects + engineers is proud to offer a dynamic and structured Cooperative Education (Co-Op) Program designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world professional experience. This full-time, paid opportunity is tailored for students enrolled in accredited universities who are pursuing degrees in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or Environmental Sciences.
Program Highlights
- Semester-Based Structure: Runs during the Spring (January–June) and Fall (August–December) semesters, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules.
- Full-Time Commitment: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Students are responsible for ensuring their participation meets their university’s academic credit requirements.
- The program helps assess student capabilities in real-world settings, offering valuable feedback for both students and educators.
Co-Op students will gain hands-on experience by contributing to a variety of tasks, including:
- Assisting with general administrative duties and project coordination
- Performing design calculations and addressing technical challenges
- Supporting the development of construction drawings and specifications
- Participating in field work and site visits
- Utilizing AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and design
- Analyzing and organizing data into charts, tables, and reports
- Collaborating with project teams on ongoing initiatives
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Voices from the Co-Op Experience

“The Co-Op gave me real-world experience that went far beyond what I learned in the classroom. I was immersed in actual project work, not just training.”
“I learned essential tools that are critical to my field, things that simply aren’t covered in textbooks.”
“Starting with an internship and continuing into the Co-Op, I built strong relationships across the company. That network helped me grow professionally and personally.”
“The experience helped me develop a true work-life balance and made the transition into the workforce much smoother.”
“By the end of the program, I felt fully prepared and confident stepping into a full-time role.”
“The Co-Op allowed me to discover and deepen my passion for architecture. It was a completely different experience than college, and it accelerated my growth.”
