Transforming Waste Systems: Policy, Planning, and Regional Resilience
We’re pleased to share that Laura Feitner Calarco, P.E., will be co-leading an educational session and presentation titled “Rethinking Regional Waste Disposal,” which explores the forward-thinking strategies shaping the future of resilient, sustainable waste management.
Laura’s section of the presentation, “A Tale of Two States: Perspectives in Local and Regional Solid Waste Planning,” outlines how the Regional Waste Authority (RWA) plan developed by H2M expands the Central Connecticut Solid Waste Authority’s service offerings and supports the state’s diversion goals. The presentation will provide an overview of Connecticut council of governments and RWAs, along with insights into the future of MSW disposal from the Hartford region.
