H2M Common Sense Resiliency Article Featured in Florida Fire Service

H2M Senior Vice President and Director of Operations David Pacheco, AIA, NCARB, recently wrote an article titled “Common Sense Resiliency in Fire Station Design” that was published in the Florida Fire Chiefs’ Association’s Florida Fire Service. 

The article emphasizes the importance of resiliency as a critical component in fire station planning to ensure sustained operations and highlights effective techniques departments in Florida can consider when upgrading or designing new stations. 

“In Florida, there are effective resiliency techniques that should be considered when upgrading or planning any new fire station. These resiliency measures support uninterrupted operations and can extend the building’s lifespan, increase firefighter safety, and provide long-term economic benefits all while mitigating environmental and human-driven risks.”
