H2M Welcomes Neil O’Connor III, P.E.
As H2M continues its growth efforts in the Capital District of New York, we are pleased to announce the strategic hiring of Neil O’Connor III, P.E. as Wastewater Discipline Engineer.
While H2M’s office in the Capital District has historically been known for its success in designing emergency services facilities across the United States and Canada, in recent years, the firm has expanded its service offerings within the Capital District. With the hiring of Neil, the firm now has the added local presence to continue to service water, wastewater, and municipal customers in the region.
Neil has been practicing engineering, particularly related to water, wastewater, and civil engineering projects, since 2005. In 2015, Neil joined the Department of Water and Water Supply for the City of Albany where he was integral in several critical infrastructure projects for the City. In this role, Neil served as Supervising Engineer for the City of Albany Water Department where he led a team of professionals who oversaw a $20 million plus annual capital improvement plan, permit applications, NYSDEC CSO/MS4 and DOH Drinking Water compliance; he also led the establishment of a GIS-based management and electronic work order system. In his over eight years with Albany Water, Neil grew a team of design professionals that undertook the design of green infrastructure, sanitary sewer, and water projects that focused on the City’s aging infrastructure, with the understanding of the importance of better serving underserved areas of the City.
At H2M, Neil will utilize his expertise and business networks to broaden H2M’s presence in the water and wastewater market in the Capital District. He will also provide leadership on water and wastewater engineering projects serviced out of H2M’s Troy office. He brings a wealth of experience and will be a key player in placing H2M in the best position for the future.
Please join us in welcoming Neil to the firm as we establish H2M as a leader in the water and wastewater engineering industry throughout the Capital District and beyond!
