H2M’s Rob Ikes III Featured in Industry Leaders Spotlight

H2M Vice President, Deputy Director of Private Sector Architecture, and New York City Office Director Rob Ikes III, R.A., LEED AP, CDT, NYSCEO, NCIDQ, was recently featured in New York Real Estate Journal’s “Ones to Watch: Industry Leaders” spotlight.

Each year, the publication honors rising stars in New York State who bring innovative, fresh leadership to their field. This year’s slate of honorees includes professionals with a wide variety of specialties, including those in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. As the director of H2M’s New York City office, Ikes is responsible for the firm’s financial success and growth in the Five Boroughs. He also oversees all disciplines within the office, provides design and technical support, and maintains client relationships, among other responsibilities.

As a team leader, Ikes aims to have meaningful personal interactions with his team members, including quality reviews and one-on-one feedback sessions. Rather than providing general advice to a larger group, these personalized discussions allow Ikes to better coach his staff on specific issues based on their individual skills and experience levels. In addition to the leadership he brings to the New York City office, Ikes serves as a mentor in H2M’s Mentorship Program, which pairs seasoned team members from across all disciplines and departments with younger, less-experienced staff looking for support and guidance in their career development.
