Liz Uzzo and Adriana Concepción Weigh in on How H2M Supports New Moms

Liz Uzzo, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, and Adriana Concepción, R.A., Senior Project Architect, were recently quoted in an article by Newsday discussing how companies can properly support new mothers as they transition back to the workplace.

In the article, Uzzo discusses that it should never be a choice having to choose between breastfeeding and staying employed. In H2M’s Melville office, there’s a separate suite just for these purposes that includes a sink, refrigerator, and two private rooms with well-lit areas to work and comfortable seating. In satellite offices with less space, they have a shared room readily available if an employee needs to pump, Uzzo says.

The space has been invaluable for Adriana Concepción, who had a baby five months ago. She also says she’ll even bring her laptop into the space so she can work while she pumps.
