Exterior Renovations

The Charles K. Post Addiction Treatment Center is a 104,000-square-foot facility constructed in 1930 on the Pilgrim Psychiatric Center Campus in Brentwood, NY. As part of a larger renovation project, H2M was hired to assess and design improvements to the building exterior.

H2M reviewed the existing condition of the brick façade, windows, lintels, stone window sills, and sweeps, and performed exterior probes to test for hazardous materials such as asbestos and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).

H2M replaced all exterior windows and lintels at window openings, installed security screens at all client room locations, performed PCB abatement at window perimeters, and performed repairs on select masonry and cast stone sills. H2M also facilitated the required State Historic Preservation Office review process.
