Enterprise Park

H2M designed upgrades to the sewage treatment plant at Enterprise Park on behalf of the Calverton Sewer District.

The upgrade was necessary for the Town of Riverhead to provide wastewater infrastructure associated with the listing to sell part of the Enterprise Park’s land to a private developer.

The existing 68,000 GPD facility required several upgrades. Our design included updating the existing treatment facility to include new channel with fine screens, change the extended aeration process to a membrane bioreactor process, eliminating the existing surface water outfall to the Peconic Estuary by providing an effluent pump station and recharge beds, and the bringing the sewage treatment plant up-to-date with the newer technologies for more reliable treatment and control.

H2M’s design repurposed existing tanks and buildings to remain within the existing footprint of the plant.
