RLJ Lodging and Highgate Hotels retained H2M for architectural services to help transform the VIP section of a rooftop bar into an elegant and welcoming sushi bar and restaurant. A hidden gem inside St. Cloud Rooftop Bar, Akoya seats 33 and offers guests an authentic temaki experience in an intimate and elevated setting atop The Knickerbocker Hotel in New York City. H2M in collaboration with LUCID, Highgate’s in-house design and construction studio, designed the interiors of Akoya to pay homage to Japanese culture and its long-honored tradition of handcrafting.
