Infrastructure Mapping and Data Collection

The Township of Jefferson commissioned H2M to create drainage and sewer asset data.
The project is divided into multiple phases. For Phase 1, utilizing the latest in submeter Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) data collection equipment, H2M walked the right-of-way of approximately 190 miles of road to collect submeter locations of water, drainage, and sanitary sewer assets and record physical characteristics pertaining to each infrastructure system. Thus far, H2M has collected data on nearly 5,200 surface structures, with another 500 anticipated for inclusion in the final data product. Phase 2 is anticipated to begin in December 2024.
For Phase 2, H2M will use existing plans to digitize the pipe networks for each of the three infrastructure systems, connecting individual assets within a system to create a fuller picture of each infrastructure network.
