Prior to beginning the final design of an upgraded sanitary sewer system, H2M prepared a Boundary and Topographic Survey for the Village of Westhampton Beach.
The Village of Westhampton Beach wanted to connect their sanitary sewer system to Suffolk County Sewer District No. 24. The Village reached out to H2M to prepare detailed plans and specifications for the sanitary sewer collection and conveyance infrastructure associated with the first phase of this newly established sewer system.
Prior to beginning final design, H2M surveyors prepared a Boundary and Topographic Survey for approximately 5.2 acres and 16,600 linear feet of roadways, including 5,200 linear feet for a sanitary force main. The surveys included mapping with one foot contour intervals, spot elevations, top and bottom of curb elevations, sidewalk elevations, building locations and dimensions, and subsurface utility locating and mapping.
The field survey work included a combination of aerial photography, GPS equipment, robotic survey instruments, and total stations to assure the mapping would be completed on time and within budget.
