Integrating planning, compliance, and environmental insight for better communities

H2M’s Environmental Planning group delivers comprehensive support for a wide range of environmental planning and permitting needs. Our team works closely with regulatory agencies such as the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) and the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) to ensure compliance and facilitate project approvals.

Our environmental planners are highly experienced in navigating the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR) process. We prepare all required documentation, including Environmental Assessment Forms (EAFs), Expanded Environmental Assessments (EAs), and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), tailored to the specific needs of each project.

In addition to SEQR, our services span key areas such as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s), the Drinking Water Source Protection Program (DWSP2), and general municipal planning support. By collaborating with our in-house engineers and architects, we integrate environmental considerations into every stage of project development—delivering solutions that align with our clients’ goals while safeguarding natural resources and community well-being.
