H2M was selected by a confidential client to performed an energy analysis based on equipment with actual equipment efficiencies.
The client had initially hired an energy solutions company to perform an energy audit of their building and provide recommendations. Although the report included options for improvement, it provided no basis for the constructability nor applicable costs for the recommendations. Rather, the report was based on typical system types and unit and square footage costs.
H2M performed a detailed building evaluation and performed an updated energy analysis based on real equipment with actual equipment efficiencies. H2M also evaluated existing spaces and systems to develop conceptual mechanical plans with equipment locations in consideration of phasing and scheduling realities.
To provide the most accurate information for planning and budgeting, H2M obtained preliminary equipment cuts, costs, and schedules from vendors. This identified true critical path project milestones to help in setting the design and construction schedules.
