Melville, NY- (November 11, 2016) – On November 3rd H2M architects + engineers’ CEO Rich Humann received the 2016 Long Island Corporate Culture Award. This award recognizes local businesses and their commitment to fostering a positive work environment.
H2M architects + engineers has a long history of sustaining a positive work environment for its employees. Throughout the year H2M participates in several community and charity events that are proposed by employees. H2M’s priority is to support any charity that is important to our staff members. An example of this is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) which is an important cause to many of the architects and shareholders at the firm. Since this cause is so valued by the staff, it is then valued by the company as a whole. This is something that resonates throughout the firm from The Interfaith Nutrition Network (The INN), the Polar Plunge for the NY Special Olympics, the Tunnel to Towers 5K, the Out of the Darkness Walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and countless more.
In addition to charitable support, H2M also hosts several internal competitions and parties to engage employees. Some examples of this is the annual Movember challenge, Ugly Sweater Days, Halloween Costume Contest, annual family day which is hosted at various locations including the Bronx Zoo, H2M’s internal Thanksgiving Feast, the annual Gingerbread House Contest and H2M’s annual Holiday Party which celebrates all the employees and the accomplishments they have made throughout the year. H2M also has many internal initiatives and processes that are conducted throughout the year to maintain a successful corporate culture. H2M’s annual wellness program and internal sports teams, encourages exercise for the companies employees. The company has several committees such as the Young Professionals Committee (YPC) and the Sustainability Committee creating opportunities for employees to make an impact on the community.
