Celebrating its 85th anniversary, H2M architects + engineers rang in their new year with several internal changes to their corporate leadership. Steve Hyman, P.E., Principal Office Director, Dennis Kelleher, P.E., Principal Market Director, and Joseph Mottola, R.A., Deputy Chief Operating Officer were among the key promotions announced by CEO and President Rich Humann, P.E. The changes are designed to better align the corporate structure with the growth of the firm and its Vision 2022 strategic outlook.
Steve Hyman, P.E., with 40 years of experience in successfully building teams to pursue, win, and execute projects of all types, is charged with managing the company’s regional office expansion. His combined knowledge of the industry and company will be beneficial in leading the coordinated management of H2M’s office locations in New York City, Westchester, Suffern, Albany; and New Jersey, in Parsippany and Howell Township. This role comes at an important time, as over the past three years alone, H2M’s regional staff has tripled to nearly 100 persons. Steve will work with office directors to ensure the best leveraging and integration all of H2M’s disciplines to maintain the excellence of client satisfaction.
Assuming the newly created role of Principal Market Director is Dennis Kelleher, P.E., a 40 year veteran and staple of H2M. Dennis has made H2M’s clients his top priority throughout his prestigious career, recognizing and understanding the importance of being fully committed to the success, needs, and challenges of all H2M clients. In this new role Dennis will hone corporate market strategy, and provide market leadership, while challenging, mentoring, and partnering with individual market leaders to better integrate and leverage the assets within H2M’s markets.
Assuming the role of Deputy Chief Operating Officer is Joseph Mottola, R.A. Working with Gary Loesch, P.E., the firm’s current and longtime Chief Operating Officer, Joe will help develop strategies for both the short and long-term transition of H2M’s practices. Joe, with H2M for 30 years and the second architect hired in 1987, is credited in large part with the growth of the firm’s architectural practice. His leadership has resulted, since 2013, in a net revenue growth of nearly 145%, while the number of architects at H2M has increased to nearly 120 professionals.
With an impressive resume of projects, his passion and dedication to his work, Joe will continue to use his leadership skills to grow the firm.
