Restoration of the Our Lady of Sorrows RC Church after a devastating fire. The church suffered extensive damage to its ceiling, roof, floors, walls, stained glass and altar. To conserve the integrity of the sanctuary ceiling design, beam smoke detectors which utilize an optical beam to detect smoke were installed on the walls. To address the inadequate air conditioning system in place, H2M provided a design that utilized floor outlets throughout the church seating area to deliver air conditioning and ventilation air to the space. Furthermore, all the lights in the sanctuary were provided with an extensive LUTRON control system, allowing for pre-set scene lighting, individual controls, and automatic controlling of all lights. Wireless technology was used for the lights to avoid the installation of unsightly fixtures.
