Katrina Pacheco Promoted to Director of Albany Office

Effective July 1, 2019, Katrina Pacheco, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C has been promoted to Office Director of the Albany office at H2M architects + engineers.

Katrina has over 24 years of experience in the field of Architecture covering a broad range of projects.  While at H2M architects + engineers, Katrina has specialized in fire station design and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) projects within the emergency service facility niche where she skillfully integrates sustainable practices with advanced firematic design. With a background in not-for-profit urban rehabilitation projects, Katrina also brings a unique appreciation for the community aspects of emergency service facilities.

Katrina is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) with dual degrees in Architecture and Building Sciences. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a New York Registered Architect, and a Green Building Certification Institute LEED Accredited Professional with specialization in Building Design and Construction (BD+C). Most recently, Katrina has been certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). The NCARB certificate allows Katrina the ability to apply for reciprocal architectural licensure in all 55 U.S. jurisdictions.

In her new role, Katrina will be responsible for administering H2M’s Mission, Vision, and Values in the Albany office along with standards, policies, and procedures. She will work with market, discipline, and corporate leaders to create and implement a plan for continued growth for the firm in the Albany region.

Katrina is a long-time resident of the upstate New York region, growing up in Ballston Spa, attending RPI in Troy and now residing in the Town of Niskayuna. She has also served as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, teaching undergraduate and graduate students about professional practice. In addition, Katrina has been supporting the Italian Studies Architecture Program in the school of Architecture by donating to the program scholarship fund for the last 17 years.
