H2M’S Staff Designer, Alexander Schweitzer Receives Huntington Chamber of Commerce Long Island’s Young Professionals Recognition

Alexander Schweitzer was awarded the Long Island’s Young Professional Award from the Huntington Chamber of Commerce.

Graduating with his Masters of Architecture from Roger Williams University, Schweitzer began working at H2M in 2017.  Within his first month at H2M he was involved in an internal design competition for the design of Corporal Chris Levi’s smart house, a pro bono project through the Stephen Siller Foundation – Building for America’s Bravest.  H2M presented Corporal Levi with all the design options and he selected Schweitzer’s design because he just “knew it was the one.”  After the design was selected, Schweitzer hit the ground running, really spearheading the project and anticipating the build.  Dedicating extra hours and effort, Schweitzer worked with H2M’s David Mammina, A.I.A., to make Corporal Levi’s dream a reality.  Throughout the process Schweitzer was in awe at what a difference just a few sketches, conversations, and extra hours could make for someone else.

Recognizing his character and a job well done, the Huntington Chamber of Commerce selected Schweitzer as one of the honorees for their 2018 Young Professional Award.  An accolade H2M feels is well deserved.  Congratulations Alex!
